I
have been granted an investment incentives certificate
for the goods I'm going to buy. If I lease them instead,
what becomes of that certificate?
Goods purchased in Turkey or from abroad under an investment
incentives certificate can be financed by a leasing agreement.
When an investment covered by a certificate is lease-financed,
the rights arising under the certificate and corresponding
to the lifetime of the lease are transferred to Tekfen
Leasing with the issuance of a new certificate in its
name. This allows EFG Leasing to take advantage of
the incentives (such as tax exemptions) and these lower
costs are passed on in full to the lessee in the form
of lower rent. |

Can
I book the amounts of rent I pay under a leasing agreement
as expenses?
As a result of a change made in the finance leasing law
in 2003, amounts of rent paid under a leasing agreement
can no longer be booked directly as expenses. Instead,
the invoices for the rent are issued with principal and
interest separately itemized on them. The lessee books
only the interest as an expense. The lessee books the
right to use the leased goods (the principal) as an asset
in his own balance sheet and subjects it to revaluation
and depreciation like any other business asset. Title
to the goods remains with the leasing company as usual. |

Do
leased goods really have to be insured?
The insuring of leased goods is a requirement of the finance
leasing law. Because leasing is a credit transaction based
entirely on goods, it is important that the goods be useful
and operative during the lifetime of the lease. For this
reason, the law requires that these goods be covered by
insurance when they are leased.

Garanti Insurance or Generali Insurance acting as their
agent. |

I wind up the leasing agreement early by paying the outstanding
balance all at once?
The lessee may wind up the leasing agreement early by
paying the outstanding balance all at once at any time
after one year has passed since the agreement was made |

You can have up to eight deposit accounts associated with
a single debit card. To add or remove accounts, call the
Eurobank Tekfen Credit Card Service on 0212 357 0707 or stop
by your branch. From Eurobank Tekfen ATMs you can access all
the accounts associated with your card. If you use the
card in a shared ATM however, only the main Turkish lira
account can be accessed. |

long does a Eurobank Tekfen debit card remain valid? When
it expires, do I have to apply for a new one?
Your Eurobank Tekfen debit card is valid for two years. A month
before it expires, a new one is automatically printed
and sent to your branch, where you can pick it up. The
new card's PIN will be the same as the old one's. |
